Each year a stable of enthusiastic and eager PGA pros staff the R&A Junior Golf Centre at the Open Championship where they give free lessons to more than 1,000 kids.
The Junior Golf Centre also features the Golf Foundation and their popular Tri-Golf initiative which is a great and easy way to begin playing golf.
Among the pros taking part in recent years is Keighley Golf Club's Duncan Moore.
"We get great feedback from the kids who really enjoy it and although 15 minutes isn't a lot of time you would be surprised how much they can benefit," he said.
Ardeer's Andrew Wylie, who has coaching at three Opens, is always keen to take part.
"They're the future of the game and you always get something back from teaching kids," he said.
