After nearly 20 years without staging the Welsh National championship, Cardiff Golf Club will host the event for a second successive year in 2008.
Stephen Dodd won on the tournament's return to the Welsh capital last year for the first time since 1988 and the tight parkland course will again become the focus of attention when it hosts the £42,500 event from September 2-5.
Wales' national championship boasts a strong history and former winners include some great names from British golf including Ian Woosnam, Brian Huggett, Sid Mouland and Percy Alliss.
The Cardiff club was founded in 1922 and boasts a variety of mature trees with tree-lined fairways and small to medium size greens placing a premium on a high standard of approach shots.
Steve Cox, PGA director of golf, said: "It has always been our intention to play our premier Championships on the best courses in Wales and we are delighted that with Cardiff we have been able to continue this trend.
"I'm in no doubt that it will again provide a fantastic test of golf and prove to be a highlight of the PGA tournament calendar in Wales."
Rob Holt, chief executive of RCW2010 added: "Once again, the Ryder Cup Wales Summer of Golf will bring an exciting season of world-class golf to the region and act as a show case for some of our best courses."
