Sussex pro Stephen Rolley admits he had to pinch himself after earning a return ticket to Turkey and another shot at winning Europe's biggest pro-am.
The Worthing professional, who finished runner up in last year's PGA National Pro-Am Championship, booked a return to the grand final at Antalya Golf Club after again triumphing in the regional qualifier at Royal Ashdown Forest with amateur partner Ian Potter.
Rolley, aged 55, and his amateur partner, a careworker with Sussex Partnership Trust, notched up six birdies, including three in the final five holes, for a blemish free six under par 66.
For Rolley, aged 55, it was a particularly sweet moment as it paves the way to erase last year's heartbreak when he and Adam Henty narrowly missed forcing a play-off after a putt lipped out on the 18th.
"I'm delighted and privileged to be returning to such a lovely course again and I can't believe my good luck in having had two such great partners," said Rolley.
"I only made one birdie all day, on the 18th but had really good partner who played well all day.
"I've played in lots of pro-ams over the years but this ranks right at the top."
The winning pair can now start preparing for the all expenses trip to the five star Sirene Beach & Hotel Resort and the £30,000 36-hole final which will be played over the PGA Sultan course at Antalya Golf Club.
Potter, who plays off 17, was forced to endure an anxious wait but a quartet of clubs came up just short with 67s.
"I'm just elated, I never thought I would really be sitting down as the winner," said the father-of-six sports mad children.
"We thought 66 was perhaps two shots short of what we required. Stephen made pars when he needed to and the birdie on 18 gave us hope.
"This is by far my biggest achievement in golf and I'm going to enjoy every moment."
In joint second were Sene Valley's Nicholas Watson and Richard Chappell (5), Devil's Dyke's Mark Stuart-William and Phil Redding (13), Peter Parks and Stephen Whittaker (6) from Hever Castle and Beauport Park's Charles Giddins and Len Crew (20).
Ifield pro Jonathan Earl didn't win but had the satisfaction of holing his first ever competitive hole-in-one on the tough 249 yard par three 11th - with a driver!
The Worthing pair will compete against 15 other regional finalists during the five-day five-star trip to Turkey's Mediterranean Coast from November 30 to December 4.
The tournament, which attracts more than 100,000 entries, is now in its 24th staging and has been held in Portugal, Spain, Grand Bahamas and Sardinia prior to Turkey last year.
