England's Laura Davies returns to the Deutsche Bank Ladies' Swiss Open at Golf Gerre Losone this week with fond memories of the venue which she credits for her recent resurgence.
The former European number one finished runner-up to Gwladys Nocera in 2006 and she pin-pointed that moment as being one of the most significant in her recent career.
"This is a course that two years ago was the start of my feeling confident again and winning tournaments," Davies said.
She added: "I can't say it turned my career around because I hopefully would have turned it around but I feel very confident around here."
However, Davies accepts the course is different from the one she did so well on in 2006 as a result of 40cm of rain falling in three days at the weekend.
"Because of the rain the par fives are a bit long now. I remember hitting eight irons into one of them and now with the wet fairways it's going to be hard to reach them in two," she said.
"That's just the way it is. The greens are magnificent. I don't know what has won in previous years but I think scoring will be very low at the weekend.
"I could see 14 to 17 under winning it."
Germany's Bettina Hauert defends the event which brought her a maiden Ladies European Tour title 12 months ago.
