David Smith won the Brough Classic Pro-am in style - with a course record seven-under-par 61 in the second round.
And the Swinton Park assistant, who defends his MEN Manchester Open title later this year, picked up a £500 bonus to add to his £1,400 prize money.
Smith, who opened with a 68, meant business from the start when he eagled the second hole then added three birdies as he reached the turn on four-under with just one bogey to show at the seventh.
He picked up four more shots in five holes from the 11th before giving one back at the 17th, finishing two strokes ahead of Teesside's Vincent Guest who added 65 to his first round 66.
