Historic Ashburnham - the scene of famous victories for two Ryder Cup winning captains - will spearhead an attractive triple bill of Ryder Cup Wales 2010 PGA tournaments in 2009.
The JH Taylor links course, near Llanelli, returns to the tournament schedule to host the prestigious Welsh PGA National Championship for Wales' leading players from September 2-4 with a £44,000 prize fund at stake.
The event was won in September by Bristol's Trevor Jones, who will face a course that saw Welsh golf legend Dai Rees and Bernard Gallacher both record victories in the PGA Championship in 1959 and 1969 respectively.
Ashburnham head professional Martin Stimson insisted that the class of 2009 will earn their victory over the course.
"It is an ultimate championship links course and it certainly won't suffer any fools," he said.
"They will have to cope with the wind, keep it on the fairways if they want to score, while we will have a few new tees in by the time of the tournament making it over 7,000 yards.
"The course is getting back to its former glory and will certainly provide a good test. It's a nice honour to get the Welsh National here."
The tournament will bring the curtain down on an eagerly anticipated year in the Principality as the focus on golf moves up another notch ahead of the arrival of The Ryder Cup in 2010.
Teeing off the Ryder Cup Wales' summer of golf programme will be the Welsh Open Young PGA Professional Championship.
It returns to Bull Bay from April 22-23, the scene of Steve Parry's victory. The event also provides a focus for golf on Anglesey, as it did last year with a series of events including a successful junior clinic for more than 60 of the island's schoolchildren.
The middle leg of the summer of golf sees the £30,000 Welsh Open PGA Professional Championship return to Marriott St Pierre from July 28-30.
The Chepstow venue previously hosted the event in 2006 and 2007, which saw victories for Liam Bond and Stephen Dodd respectively.
Rob Holt, Chief Executive of Ryder Cup Wales, said: "Our continued partnership with the PGA enables us to take these Championships to top-class venues across Wales.
"As part of our Summer of Golf programme next year, we look forward to returning to Bull Bay for the second year running for the Young Professional event, supported by Anglesey County Council, where players enjoyed a test of endurance in 2008 on the tough links course.
"We then head south to the picturesque parkland course at St Pierre, which has seen many improvements in the last 12 months, for the Welsh Open and then to Ashburnham, a classic Welsh links course loved by many of the game's top professionals, for the Welsh National - an event previously held at this venue in 1992 and 2001.
"We will continue to support the PGAs efforts to ensure these events continue beyond 2010."
Stephen Cox, PGA director of golf, said: "The PGA is once again looking forward to working closely with Ryder Cup Wales 2010 and delivering another exciting triple bill of top class tournament golf.
"Ashburnham offers a fantastic challenge of golf and along with Bull Bay and Marriott St Pierre I'm sure we will once again enjoy another exciting season of tournament golf in Wales."
