The desert playground of Arizona witnessed another duel in the sun as PGA No1 Chris Doak and Darren Prosser went head-to-head in Scottsdale.
The pair, part of a top class assembly of professionals competing in the Scottsdale Classic Pro-Am - the third American Golf Holiday Pro-Am of the winter, duly shared the honours after four rounds.
Halfpenny Green's Darren Prosser, an AGH veteran, set the pace on day one with a superb 67 at the Legacy Resort.
AGH debutant Doak struck back with the best second and third round scores at Quintero and Las Sendas but remained three shots adrift of his Midland rival ahead of the final round.
The fourth round, over the stunning We-Ko-Pa, saw Prosser return with a two-under-par 70.
But Doak, who secured his European Tour card at qualifying school last November just week's after winning the Srixon PGA Play-Ofss at a canter, nailed three birdies over the final three holes to tie at four-under-par for the week.
Lee-on-the-Solent's James Ablett was third at two-over-par.
In what was a great start for Doak, he also lead his team to victory in the pro-am team event, and Prosser had the consolation of beating Doak in the Challenge Day at TPC Scottsdale, which was presented in magnificent condition with the grandstands still in place from the previous week's PGA Tour's FBR Open.
