About the partnership

Club Car’s history boasts more than 60 years of industry-leading innovation and design of zero-emission electric vehicles.

Initially focused on golf cars, Club Car has expanded its product-line into the production of durable commercial utility vehicles and personal-use cars. To increase its global reach, Club Car acquired Garia A/S in 2022, a Denmark-based manufacturer of electric street legal low-speed vehicles. The deal included Garia-owned Melex, a manufacturer of lightweight utility vehicles.

The Belfry

A four-time host of The Ryder Cup, The Belfry Hotel and Resort is synonymous with golf’s biggest event - and in Club Car, the official supplier of vehicles to Ryder Cup Europe, it has found its perfect partner.

The Belfry has invested in more than 100 new Club Car vehicles, including the largest-ever, fully GPS-equipped fleet in the UK, as well as a dozen Utility vehicles that are used off the course to support the venue’s hospitality and events teams.

The reputation of The Belfry is understandably high and with strong expectations to meet, Club Car has worked since 2001 with the venue to ensure it is providing the best experience for its customers.

St Andrews Links Trust

St Andrews Links Trust

The golf courses of St Andrews Links Trust were designed hundreds of years before golf carts came into existence, but Club Car’s electric vehicles now play a vital role in the running of the seven courses at this world-famous venue.

John Grant, Director of Golf at St Andrews, said: “We have invested in Club Car Tempos which have proven primordial in allowing elderly or less able golfers enjoy the game. They are excellent - very reliable and comfortable.”

The Trust also invested in a series of Utility vehicles for its greenkeeping team, course marshals and for shuttling golfers around, as well as a Café Car serving food and drink to golfers on course.

Ryder Cup 2023

Club Car will once again provide a fleet of vehicles for Team Europe at the 2023 Ryder Cup at Marco Simone Golf and Country Club in Rome, Italy.

As an Official Supplier for the seventh consecutive Ryder Cup on European soil, Club Car will provide Ryder Cup Europe with more than 600 cars to transport rules officials, television production teams and staging staff.

Specially-equipped and branded vehicles will also be received by the European Captain, along with his Vice Captains.

The partnership between Ryder Cup Europe and Club Car first the 1997 Ryder Cup at Valderrama in Spain.
