The overall job purpose will include being custodian for the PGA collection of Heritage items to ensure its long-term preservation, protection and enhancement for the benefit of The PGA. Understand and share the history of The PGA. Conducting research, maintaining heritage displays, providing talks to individuals or groups and working alongside the Executive Office Manager on specialist projects to mark anniversaries and special occasions.

The Role: To act as an Ambassador of the PGA at all times, promoting key organisational messages and always presenting the Association, PGA Members, Partners and golf in a positive light. To have overall responsibility for the following areas:
Role Requirements: Education/Qualifications/Key Competencies/Personal Profile Includes:
Have knowledge of the game of golf, its history and traditions; experience of working with artefacts, collections, archives and working with electronic archiving systems; experienced public speaker; previous experience of delivering projects within deadlines; demonstrable experience in carrying out extensive research; good IT skills/knowledge of Microsoft Office; previous experience of working in an archive, museum or heritage environment and good have knowledge of The PGA (ideally); excellent communication and presenter skills, ability to create clear, concise and engaging written material; ability to work independently; good attention to detail; excellent research, planning and organising skills; ability to lift and carry objects securely; have a flexible approach; self-motivated, self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills.
