Talented pro and amateur women golfers will have another exciting opportunity to tee it up on the PGA in Scotland Ladies Tartan Tour.
Dates for the 2015 season have been unveiled with The Paul Lawrie Golf Centre Open kicking off proceedings at Murcar Golf Club in April.
It is one of five 36-hole stroke-play tournaments, each over two days, at high profile Scottish venues with the last - the Tour Championship at Deeside GC for the top 21 in the order of merit.
Falkirk-based Beth Allen (above) won the Tour Championship, picking up the handsome Stewart Spence donated trophy in the process, while Laura Murray topped the order of merit.
“The PGA in Scotland is committed to providing all our members with professional, competitive playing opportunities throughout the country and we very much look forward to continuing our support of ladies golf during 2015,” said PGA in Scotland secretary Brian Mair,.
“It remains our quest to promote the game to all sectors of the community and to reach as wide an audience as possible.”
PGA pro and qualified referee Nicola Melville is the tour’s director and is aiming to emulate the success of last year.
"We are looking forward to building on the success of our inaugural 2014 season with The PGA in Scotland,” she said.
“The tour remains open to all female professionals and amateurs with single-figure handicaps. It is not restricted to Scottish-based players”.
