The new manager for The PGA in Ireland speaks to Irish Golfer's John Shortt about his career, the road home and his goal of supporting all Irish PGA Professionals.
Conor Dillon started his PGA training in Douglas Golf Club in Cork and finished at Royal Dublin before going on to work with two of the biggest brands in golf when he became Custom Fitting Manager at Mizuno Golf and then EMEA Golf Sales Manager at Golf Pride.
He has now returned home to lead The PGA in Ireland and the commercial mindset which saw him enjoy such career success will be firmly put to the best in the post-Covid world.
"It seems like a long time ago now when I started my PGA qualification under Gary Nicholson at Douglas Golf Club and then on to finishing school with Leonard Owens at Royal Dublin. A lot has happened between now and then," Dillon said.
