Act now for coaching success with the Golf Foundation

25/02/2020

The Golf Foundation says its growing roster of successful ‘HSBC Golf Roots Centres’ is presenting progressive PGA Professionals with the “ideal opportunity” to increase their coaching and business profiles in 2020.

High numbers of golf clubs and their PGA Pros are signing up to be new HSBC Golf Roots Centres in the first registration window for the new season.

Venues signing up by April 6 will enjoy excellent benefits including an enhanced junior coaching system, better and lasting links with the local community and a gateway into school coaching and more family golf customers.

April 6 is the deadline

It has been calculated that working with the Golf Foundation brings, on average, an increase to club business income of £5,800 per year.

The Golf Foundation is a charity that changes the lives of young people by introducing them to golf. The Centres play a key role in this – creating fun, junior-friendly facilities and boosting job satisfaction for PGA Coaches.

The school-to-club pathway starts with PGA Pros in 3,200-plus schools, while helping the next generation of boys and girls to learn valuable ‘Skills for Life’ – a key growth area of sport/learning among families. Family involvement is a key driver to increased coaching and club revenue.

For its new HSBC Centres the Golf Foundation offers:

* The support of your own dedicated development expert

* Recognition for being an HSBC Golf Roots Centre

* Ability to unlock funding

* Access to nationally run successful junior programmes

* A business case guaranteed to increase your club’s revenue

Golf clubs must have in place up-to-date Safeguarding procedures to take part.

Many PGA Pros will have heard about the Foundation’s GolfSixes League, Girls Golf Rocks (joint project with England Golf), the Junior Golf Passport and more, which are all designed to help more young people to Start, Learn and Stay in your club.

Martin Crowder, Head of Development for the Golf Foundation, said: “Our HSBC Golf Roots Centres are proving hugely successful for any welcoming club which is looking to support their PGA Pro to boost their coaching and business profile. It really is an ideal opportunity but clubs must act soon to meet the April 6 deadline.”
