David Shacklady, the most prolific winner in the North West, consolidated
his lead in the PGA in Lancs Order of Merit with another dazzling display of
strokeplay at Rossendale.
It was a case of all the sixes for the man from Mossock Hall who rattled in
six birdies in a six-under-par 66 containing six birdies, Mark Sheppard,
from Darland Golf Club, near Chester, was runner-up three shots back as
Formby Hall's Richie Marsden claimed third prize with a 70.
Shacklady holds a 73 point lead in the merit from Colin Maroney, of Bolton
Old Links.
