Allen and George scoop Hadley Wood spoils

Laurence Allen (Verulam) and Andrew George (Ely City) shared the honours at the Hadley Wood Pro-Am, thanks to respective three-under-par rounds of 69.

Allen was out in the morning and, under a shotgun start, opened up with a birdie at the par-five 14^th hole. He notched six birdies in total, including one at his last, the 13^th.

George played among the afternoon starters and he carded five birdies. Indeed, he got it to four-under but dropped a stroke at his penultimate hole.

A par at the last from the Cambridgeshire professional meant that he and Allen split the spoils as they finished two clear of Jason Levermore (Channels) and Ian Ellis (Great Yarmouth and Caister) – the latter, fresh from having made the cut at the BMW PGA Championship.
