Robert Arnott (Bishopbriggs) returned to the form that landed him the Senior PGA Professional with a brilliant round of seven-under-par 63 to win the Tartan Tour's Cawder Golf Club pro-am by three shots.
Arnott, who had an eagle three at the par-5 seventh and six birdies: at the fifth, 10th, 11th, 12th, 17th and 18th in halves of 32 and 31. He had one bogey - at the 13th
The Bishopbriggs man earned £1,050 for his Cawder card which, incidentally, was three strokes above the record of 60 held by Scottish PGA champion Chris Kelly.
Alan Welsh (Cathkin Braes) was runner-up on 66 with a five birdie round and earned £840. Graham Fox (Clydeway Golf) and Greig Hutcheon (Paul Lawrie Golf Centre Inchmarlo) finished third and fourth with 67 (£630) and 68 (£473) respectively.
Paul Robinson (Largs) gained £262 for joint fifth place on 69 but he earned a £126 bonus by leading the Circle Insurance quartet of Alistair Macpherson (handicap 1), Andrew Macpherson (5) and Gordon MacTavish (11) to a three-stroke victory with a net score of 16-under-par 124 in the pro-am team event.
