Atkinson the big winner at Harewood

Lewis Atkinson continued his domination of the Harewood Downs pro-am by producing another dazzling display to win it for the second year in a row.

Following on from last year’s course record eight-under-par 61, Atkinson produced an impressive 63 to secure a three stroke winning margin in the individual event.

He also guided amateurs Robert Shack, A Gemmill and Mark Grimsey to a two shot win in the team event.

In the professional’s individual tournament, Greg Blainey finished a strong second on 66 with Paul Simpson and James Morley carding 68's to finish tied third.

In the team event second place went to Simpson’s West Berkshire team of Tony Coventry, Tony Athawaes and Richard Muldoon with Paul Simpson with Kevin Tilbury and amateurs Mark Brazier, Tony Brazier and Richard Chapman in third.
