Chase Davis (above) made it two victories on the bounce when he triumphed by a shot in the Stock Brook Country Club Pro-Am.
Davis, an assistant professional at Stapleford Abbotts, shared his win with Charlie Luther a week earlier at Saffron Walden.
But at Stock Brook he stood alone at the leaderboard summit after firing a four-under-par 68.
Under a shotgun start, the 26-year-old teed off at the eighth and it wasn’t long before he was on the birdie trail.
Davis picked up shots at both the ninth and the 10th, turning for home at three-under.
Indeed, he collected a total of seven birdies – four of them at par-fives – in recording his third pro-am success of the season.
Brett Taylor and David Salisbury were tied for second spot, thanks to respective rounds of 69.
Both enjoyed scoring streaks with Taylor making three straight birdies late on. Salisbury began his inward nine with a trio of threes – all for birdie.
Taylor led the winning team on a tally of 129, four better than Salisbury’s quartet.
