Baker’s back

Peter Baker took first place in The PGA in Staffordshire Winter Alliance meeting at Whittington Heath.

The South Staffordshire pro carded an excellent 39 points (-3) to lead from Danny Taylor (Robert Rock Golf Academy), who finished with a level-par 36 points.

Three players shared the spoils one shot further back in third place, with Ted Maher (Gt Barr GC), Ian Proverbs (Walsall GC), and Tom Cheetham (The Chase GC) all scoring 35 points.

The team competition was very hotly contested. Tom Cheetham brought home his team of amateurs, Nick Harold, G Brown and Phil Beswick with a 14-under-par score of 86 points.
