Robert Bardsley broke the course record at Edgbaston Golf Club en route to winning the PGA in Warwickshire Strokeplay Championship.
The Moor Hall PGA pro carded a six-under-par 63 to break the existing target by a stroke held previously by former Ryder Cup player Peter Butler and Adrian Carey.
Bardsley carded rounds of 73 and 63 in the 36-hole event to beat Wishaw’s Chris Evans by a shot who posted scores of 69 and 68.
John-Paul Banbury, also from Moor Hall, was third at level par with Fred Jewsbury and Adam Gray, both from Stratford, sharing fourth spot.
