Sion Bebb showed his class as he eased his way to victory in the Forest of Dean pro-am with a seven-under-par 62 for his eighth triumph this summer.
The former European Tour player based at the Vale Hotel, Cardiff, is playing regular regional golf for the first time since eventually winning a Tour card at the tenth attempt in 2006.
He still hopes to experience golf in Europe next year and is fourth in the Race to Woodbury Park Order of Merit with one event left. The leading three players qualify for the Titleist PGA Play-Offs in Turkey with chances to win European Tour starts next year.
He opened with four birdies in a front nine of 30 and made three more on his return with a bogey four at the 15th a minor glitch.
Regional chairman James Lee (Caerphilly) and Gloucester and Somerset PGA chairman Andrew March (Brean) completed their best returns of the year to share second three shots behind on 65.
Lee made five birdies and dropped his only shot at the 15th. March also picked up four shots but bogeyed the ninth.
James Maxwell (Thornbury Golf Centre) and Danny White (Players Club) shared fourth on 67.
