The HotelPlanner.com PGA EuroPro Tour season continues with the “FORE” Business Championship at East Sussex National Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa.
Last week, EuroPro history was made when Min Kyu Kim became the Tour’s youngest winner at just 16-years old. And with the return of Race To Amendoeria leader Chris Lloyd, another chapter in EuroPro history could be written if he wins a fourth title this week, claiming the coveted £250,000 four-win bonus in the process.
Nine players currently sit on one Tour win this season with Lloyd head and shoulders above the pack on three wins, facing a real chance to cement his position as the top EuroPro golfer with a strong finish at East Sussex.
Last week’s winner Kim will be looking to carry on his fine form to further his place in the top five in the Race To Amendoeria. He has amassed three consecutive top 10 finishes, and could pose a serious threat to Chris Lloyd and co. with a strong performance at East Sussex.
Yorkshireman Jonathan Thomson has also been knocking on the door as he seeks his first EuroPro Tour title of the season. He has collected three top three spots in his last four tournaments and will be looking to go a step further this week.
The “FORE” Business Championship tees off on Wednesday, August 23. All players will play 36 holes before a cut to the leading 50 professionals and ties is made after Thursday’s second round.
The winner after Friday’s final 18 holes will take home £10,000 from the £50,000 total prize fund along with a brand new Motocaddy S3 PRO electric trolley with lithium battery, Bushnell Pro X2 Range Finder and Bolle sunglasses.
A two-hour highlights package from each event is broadcast on Sky Sports Golf, and on 98 networks around the world reaching 400 million homes. In addition, every event is available to watch on demand in high definition on YouTube.
Spectator entry is free of charge throughout the week and live scoring will be available at www.europrotour.com.
