Phil Archer won the inaugural GW Insurance PGA In Cheshire and North Wales Masters at Denbigh after defeating Phil Kelly in a sudden-death play-off.
The Birchwood-attached professional, back in the region after nine years on tour, parred the first extra hole as his rival missed a short putt.
But both players left it late to force extra time - Blackpool-born Kelly rolling in a birdie at the 17th for a two-under-par 67 and Archer repeating the act on the last hole.
Meanwhile, Carden Park's Garry Houston, a former Denbigh assistant, shared the honours on 69 with Penwortham's Ryan O'Neill in the curtain-raising pro-am.
