Paul Streeter fired five birdies over the closing six holes to seal victory at the Midlands Masters Pro-Am.

The Lincoln Golf Centre golfer finished on six-under at Kedleston Park a shot clear of a trio tied for second.

South Staffs’ Peter Baker, Morley Hayes’ James Whatley and Stuart Davis, who was playing on his home course, all finished on five-under.

Streeter got off to a fast start with a birdie on the opening hole before dropping a shot on the third. He pulled that shot back at the next hole to reach the turn at one under.

A birdie on the par-five 13th hole was the start of a five-hole streak that was enough to put him top of the leader board.

Davis had got off to a dream start with an eagle on the first but an inconsistent round of six birdies and three bogeys.
