Richard Creamer (Golfquip) produced a flawless round of four-under-par 68 to win the Galway Bay Resort Pro-Am.

The 40-year-old, who is teaching at the Cregmore Park Driving Range in Galway, managed 18 holes without a bogey on his card at the Christy O'Connor Jnr designed course.

Creamer, who began his round at the 10th, went to the turn in one-under 35 following a solitary birdie at the par-five 14th.

His back nine was similarly steady, except this time he notched up birdies at the fourth, sixth and seventh to give him a two shot victory over Glasson's Colm Moriarty.

“I hit a lovely eight iron into the crosswind at the short seventh that finished six feet away from the hole for my final birdie of the day,” added Richard who has endured something of a up and down 2014 on the PGA in Ireland circuit.

“I hit the ball really solid today and the short game helped me out when I needed it to.”

Richard's next tournament date is the Ulster PGA Championship at the Hilton Templepatrick, September 23-25, followed by the Irish PGA Championship at Adare Manor Golf Club.

In the amateur competition David Ruddy guided his partners to victory, amassing 93 points to deny Creamer and his team a double success.
