Windmill Golf Academy’s Louis Boston carded a five-under-par 65 to gain his first solo win of the season on his debut at Worlebury, high above the Weston-super-Mare coastline, following a tied top spot at Cotswold Hills last month.
He beat George Ryall (Players) and Ross Langdon (Gloucester) by one shot and took full advantage of the calmer than expected conditions and the pleasant winter sunshine.
He opened up with a par but then went birdie, eagle, birdie, birdie from the second to race to gain five shots.
A dropped shot at the par five ninth followed to turn after an opening nine of 31, also matched by Ryall and Langdon.
He finished with further birdies at the 11th and 13th and a final bogey at the penultimate hole. He also collected the birdie sweep pot.
Ryall has been in a typically steady and productive run of form in the last few weeks. The former PGA Cup player could have easily collected another win but dropped shots on the 16th and 18th, the only blemishes in a round that included six birdies, proved costly.
Langdon maintained his stranglehold on the Total Triumph Order of Merit lead with yet another top performance.
He made birdies at the first, third, seventh and eighth before ten pars brought a bogey-free day.
Clevedon assistant Ashley Mansell took fourth on 68 one ahead of David Dixon (Enmore Park), Ed Goodwin (Cirencester), Dan Toogood (Weston-superMare) and young Cricket St Thomas assistant Will Bennett, enjoying his best G&S PGA finish.
