Bottrill appointed academy coach

Long-serving Shirley Golf Club head pro Stuart Bottrill (above centre) has been appointed as an academy coach for the Warwickshire County Golf Partnership.

Bottrill brings over 25 years experience to Warwickshire Golf where is is also county coach for Warwickshire boys, girls and ladies’ teams, and coaches the Solihull college AASE programme.

He works with numerous professionals and elite amateurs and has coached and led his golf club junior team to a national title in 2000.

In 2008 Bottrill was awarded Midlands Professional of the Year 2008 and in the same year was named Npower Disability Coach of the Year 2008.

A year later he won the prestigious Toby Sunderland Award for his charity efforts which is pictured receiving above.
