Broadhurst at the double

Paul Broadhurst continued his great form with a fine 10 under par total at Northampton Golf Club to complete a county matchplay and strokeplay double.
The Northants County pro carded a morning round 66 to share the lead with Brampton Heath’s Dan Wood.
But events hotted up in the afternoon as Adam Chamberlain caught Broadhurst while Wood was just one shot back after 11 holes.
The contest turned on its head when Broadhurst birdied the long par 5 12th while Wood bogeyed and Chamberlain double-bogeyed to develop a gap that was unsurmountable.
