North Warwickshire golfer Paul Broadhurst took the honours at the Atherstone Pro Am, edging out nearest rival Matthew Cort by just one stroke.
The former Ryder Cup player picked up four birdies before dropping his only shot of the round on the penultimate hole to finish with a three-under par 69.
Leicestershire-based Cort (Rothley Park GC) also carded a bogey on the 17th – one of three in a rollercoaster round. But his 70 was still enough to edge Steve Carter (Walmley GC) and Stephen Bennett (Waltham Windmill GC) into joint third thanks to their one-under par rounds.
Bennett did well to recover after a nightmare at the opening hole when he dropped two shots. But he rallied and was two-under at the turn.
Further down the field, Clive Fromant (Forest Hill GC) was one-under par with three to play but then dropped four shots to finish with a 75.
