Former PGA captain Eddie Bullock has joined Colt Mackenzie McNair’s advisory board as a non-executive director.
The specialist executive search firm say the appointment will provide CMM with additional external management expertise and support the Berkshire-based business’s global expansion plans, which have already seen offices open in Edinburgh, Hong Kong and Dubai.
Announcing the appointment, CCM director Richard Wood, said: “It is with great pleasure that I welcome Eddie Bullock to CMM.
“His wealth of operational and executive-level experience across a range of golf businesses, as well as his extensive network of management connections, enable him to make a significant contribution to our organisation.”
Bullock, who captained The PGA from 2011-13, added: “CMM is a specialist, service-focused business operating at the heart of the global golf industry and I relish the opportunity to be a part of, and add value to, this market-leading organisation that seeks to professionalise how golf clubs, businesses and brands operate.
“I have personally witnessed the value that can be unlocked by employing exceptional businesspeople and I am hugely passionate about working alongside CMM to educate the golf industry in the key principles of success.”
Bullock is widely recognised as an authority on the emerging trends within the global golf club industry, and is a former managing director of Woburn Golf Club and over the past seven years has also successfully built his own consultancy business (www.eddiebullockgolf.com), offering golf clubs and businesses strategic management support, leadership advice and operational guidance.
He is also a leading figure in the Golf Club Managers Association (GCMA), Club Managers Association of Europe (CMAE) and associate member of The British and International Golf Greenkeepers’ Association (BIGGA), as well as being on the board of trustees at The Golf Foundation.
