Ian Campbell (Cheshunt Park) defied freezing conditions to triumph at Highgate in the latest Pro Medal staged this winter by the Middlesex PGA.

Campbell produced some superb golf to beat his rivals - and the winter chill.
He fired a one-under-par round of 68 to edge out James Ruebotham (Welwyn Garden City).

The runner-up also performed very well but in the end his level par score of 69 came up short by a shot.

Ruebotham had also finished second in the two previous Pro Medals in the winter series.

He shot a two-under 67 at Stanmore but was beaten by an on-song Glen Portelli - the newly-qualified Verulam ace carding a stunning 64.

The first event saw outgoing PGA in England (East) captain Matt Deal record a 'home' win on familiar turf at Hendon.

He signed for a fine five-under score of 65 that saw him win by no less than six strokes from Ruebotham.

The Ealing event sadly fell victim to inclement weather.

And finally...the Middlesex PGA would like to wish Nick Pateman all the best before he moves to Austen, Texas.

The Pinner Hill professional played his final event at Highgate and heads out to America with the all good wishes from his many golfing friends in the county and beyond.
