Richard Challoner made the short trip from Sedgley to Staffordshire to shoot a 67 and finish top of the leaderboard for the first time this season at the Chase pro-am.
The Mark Butler Golf Academy head teaching pro fired four birdies and an eagle, overcoming an early dropped shot on his way to a slender one shot winning margin over both Simon Lilly and Christopher Evans.
Lilly (Wellingborough) recovered from two bogies in his first two holes to post a 68 with six birdies, while Evans (Wishaw) climbed up the leaderboard with three late birdies on the trot to share second.
Alex Rowland (Hawarden) made the trip from North Wales worthwhile with a 69 that contained seven birdies helping him to fourth place, the on form John-Paul Banbury managed the only other under-par score after a 71.
Paul Broadhurst who fired a level-par 72 finished top of the standings in the team event leading his fourball to a comfortable win with a 125 total.
