Darren Charlton (Dunstable Downs) and Matt Cousens (Bushey Driving Range) shot four-under-par to claim joint victory in the KJW Millbrook Pro-Am.
Early-morning starter Charlton was one-under for the opening nine but produced a flying finish, birdieing three straight holes from the 15th.
Cousens was out just before lunchtime and could hardly have got off to a better start as he eagled the par-5 first hole.
He reached four-under by the 11th before suffering back-to-back reverses at the next two holes.
But Cousens hit back with fine birdies on 15 and 17 to secure a share of the spoils.
James Ruebotham (Welwyn Garden City), Glen Portelli (Old Fold Manor) and Chris Cutchie (Colchester) were all tied for third on three-under-par.
But for Portelli it was frustrating finish. He played some excellent golf to put himself in with a great chance of winning, making four straight birdies around the turn.
That scoring spree lifted him to five-under through 11 holes. He reeled off six straight pars but then slipped off the summit with a double-bogey blow on the last hole.
Phil Abbott (Whipsnade Park) led the winning team on a total of 14-under, one better than the quartet of home professional Nathan Day (Millbrook).
