Clark ends Gabbitas run

Iain Clark ended Simon Gabbitas’s dominance of the Worcestershire Alliance pro-ams with a three stroke victory over his rival at Stourbridge.

The Hagley pair jostled for top spot with a pair of birdies helping Clark to a level par 69 ensuring Gabbitas didn’t win for a fifth time on the spin.

Worcester Golf & Country Club’s Graham Farr carded a 73 to share third place with Evesham’s Dan Clee.

Lee Brotherhood (Bromsgrove) and Adam Whiting (Ravenmeadow) tied fifth while Clee and his Evesham partners of B. Harris, A Witts and D Mitchell took the team event with a ten-under-par score of 128.
