Fact is sometimes stranger than fiction, even on the Tartan Tour!

In a big field of pros for the Kerr Investments £14,420 36-hole, two-day pro-am at Dumfries and Galloway Golf Club, the odds against either of the Clydeway Golf stablemates Graham Fox and Paul O'Hara winning would not have been low.

But for the pair to dead-heat for first place with eight-under-par aggregates of 132 - both shot 66 twice -  was a remarkable finish - and neither had a single bogey over the 36 holes.

They earned £1,946 each.

Paul McKechnie (Braid Hills) finished third, only a shot behind the joint winners, with scores of 68 and 65 for 133. He earned £1,251.

Greig Hutcheon (Paul Lawrie Golf Centre) notched the lowest round of the tournament - a seven-under-par 63 - in his second round to finish fourth on five-under 135 and earn £865.
