Coles victorious at Prince's

Rob Coles of Maylands won the Essex PGA pro-am by two shots after producing a solid two-under-par round of 68 at Prince's Golf Club in Kent.

Coles took the win ahead of Andrew Pestell, while joint third place at one-over-par was shared by Mark Stokes (Rayleigh Golf Range) and Jason Levermore (Channels).

Steve Hambling (Braintree) and Steve Richardson (Garon Park) were joint fifth at two-over-par. David Wood (Orsett) and Chris Cutchie (Colchester) had rounds of 75 to take joint seventh place.

Stokes led the winning team with 82 Stableford points on count back from Pestell’s team. Paul Grotier (The Essex Golf and Country Club) and his amateurs took third place with 79 points.
