Rob Coles (Maylands Golf & Country Club) bounced back from a slow start to finish tied-first alongside Mark Talbott (Thorpe Hall) at the Romford Pro-Am.
The Great Britain and Ireland PGA Cup player showed a sure touch and cool head as he bounced back from two early bogies to shoot five-under-par.
From the fifth Coles made an eagle and five birdies in signing for a round of 66.
The shared success comes hot on the heels of Coles’ win in the Order of Merit event at Ingrebourne Links. It was Coles’ fourth win on the East region schedule in 2019.
Fellow Essex professional Talbott has also been in fine form, securing his third victory of the season.
He fired four birdies in his opening five holes before slotting two more either side of a bogey inside his final three holes.
Chris Cutchie (Colchester), James Watts (Kingsway Golf Centre) and Mark Davis (Thorndon Park) were all a stroke back in tied third.
Rob Watson (Porters Park) led the winning team on a total of 122.
