Clear skies and light winds greeted the field for the visit to Gog Magog this year, despite an awful weather forecast.

The player to take full advantage of the conditions was Robbie Coles from Maylands Golf Club who recorded seven birdies and no dropped shots in a stunning 63.

This was good enough to win by four shots from James Webber of Three Rivers Golf and Country Club and Paul Grotier from Essex Golf and Country Club.

In fourth place with a very creditable 68 was Ed Glease from Frinton Golf Club.

The Pro-Am was won Paul Grotier’s team on countback from the team with James Webber both teams coming in with 82 stableford points.

The result moves James Webber and Robbie Coles jointly to the lead in the PGA in Essex 2015 Order of Merit.
