Rob Coles (Maylands Golf & Country Club) made birdie at two of his final three holes to win the Crews Hill Pro-Am by a shot.
The former European Tour professional showed his class with a strong finish to card a five-under 65 and just pip deny Brett Taylor (Rivenhall Oaks Golf Centre).
Coles enjoyed a bogey-free round as he recorded his second victory inside two weeks after also triumphing at Muswell Hill.
He turned in two-under before making a further gain with a birdie at the 11th.
With Taylor already in the clubhouse at four-under, Coles needed something special late on.
Sure enough he provided it by picking up a stroke at the 16 th and then making a three at the closing 390-yard par-4.
Mark Talbott (Thorpe Hall) finished third on three-under, while Glen Portellu (Old Fold Manor) and David Salisbury (David Salisbury Golf) were a further stroke back.
Salisbury led the winning team on -16, a shot clear of Sudbury-attached James Wood’s quartet.
