Coles takes anniversary pro-am

Robbie Coles secured an emphatic six shot win from Mark Talbott (Thorpe Hall) and Chris Goddard (Romford) in the winter season-ending Woodford Anniversary pro-am.

An eagle and three birdies in the last four holes made absolutely sure of the victory and moved Maylands pro Coles to the top of the 2015 Order of Merit.

Celebrating the 125^th anniversary of Woodford Golf Club, The PGA in Essex brought their season to a resounding end with an amazingly successful event at the quaint but difficult course on the edge of Epping Forest.

The team event was won by professional Steve Cipa from South Essex Golf Centre with 83 stableford points, the amateur partners being Kevin Lye and father and son Ed and Jesse Martin.
