Matthew Cort stormed to victory in the Northamptonshire County Pro-Am, sweeping aside his rivals to win by five strokes.
Cort (Rothley Park GC) made the perfect start with birdies on three of his opening four holes and added another five on his way to a seven-under-par 63 – his only dropped shot coming at the 10th.
Stephen Bennett (Waltham Windmill GC) proved his closest challenger with a two-under par 68, a birdie at the last securing his second place.
John-Paul Banbury (Moor Hall GC) was another to make an excellent start, going three-under after four holes but slumped back to level par at the turn and needed an eagle three at the last to secure a one-under-par 69 and a share of third place with Daniel Wood (Brampton Heath GC).
Andrew Willey (Notts GC) also eagled the last on his way to a level par 70 along with 2012 winner Paul Streeter (Lincoln Golf Centre) who never recovered from a double bogey at the first.
PGA Midlands chairman Tim Rouse carded a two-over 72 around his home course.
