Jason Levermore’s stunning series of results continued with a course record 62 in the Stanmore Pro-Am.
Levermore (Channels) recorded no less than nine birdies in his seven-under-par round, giving him a fourth pro-am victory inside the last month.
His exceptional performance gave him a five-shot victory from Murray White (Penfold Park), with Mark Stokes (Rayleigh Golf Range) in third place at one-under-par.
There was little sign of Levermore’s birdie blitz early on at Stanmore where he found himself one-over after five holes. But then he embarked on an amazing scoring spree that saw him pick up a shot at six of the next seven holes.
Levermore kept piling it on and birdied three of the last four holes in notching his latest triumph.
Stanmore’s head PGA Professional James Reynolds ensured it was a ‘home’ win in the team event. His quartet finished on a 124 total – two better than the teams led by White and Levermore, respectively.
