Christopher Currie (Caldwell) chalked up his fourth win of the season on the Tartan Tour with a five-under-par 65 in the Hayston Charity Pro-Am.
Currie, a winner of pro-ams at Bathgate, Kirkhill and Cardross earlier in the year, laid the foundation for his victory in a field of 44 professionals, with an excellent outward half of six-under-par 30.
The sparkle disappeared with bogeys at the 10th and 15th before Currie served it hot again with an eagle three at the long 16th, which gave him enough in hand to be able to bogey the 17th and still top the field by one shot.
Joint runners-up on 66 were the Clydeway Golf pair of Paul O'Hara and Graham Fox, Edinburgh Golf Centre's Craig Gordon and Greig Hutcheon (Paul Lawrie Golf Centre).
Hutcheon bogeyed the first and then covered the remaining 17 holes in five-under-par. Fox was three-under-par for the last two holes with an eagle three at the 16th and a birdie at 18. Gordon birdied 17 and 18. A bogey at 17 cost O'Hara a share of first prize.
Fox led the Porcelain Plus Two team of Alan Cross (handicap 6), Steven Brogan (9) and Robert Mearns (6) to victory in the pro-am event with an 18-under-par nett total of 52.
