Dan’s the man at Essendon

Daniel Field (East Herts) produced one of the rounds of the season to take the Essendon Pro-Am by four shots.

Field didn’t drop a stroke in shooting a superb seven-under-par 65 that had the field trailing in his wake.

He began with a birdie at the first and trebled his lead with an eagle at the par-5 sixth.

Into the back-nine and Field birdied 10, 13, 14 and 17 as he romped to victory.

James Webber (Three Rivers G&CC), Chris Cutchie (Colchester) and Marc Dodd (Burstead) all shot three-under-par to share second spot.

James Jankowski (IGC London) led the winning team on a winning total of 22-under-par.
