Davis and Jankowski on top

Chase Davis (Stapleford Abbotts) and James Jankowski tied at the top after a cracking day’s golf at the Stanmore Pro-Am.
The pair shot respective rounds of 70 (one-over-par) to beat Stuart Brown (Orton Meadows) by a stroke.
Indeed, it could have been a shot better for both of the winners as they bogeyed their final hole.
Having started at the 11th, their respective rounds finished at the par-three 10th – but neither managed to par it.
It was a first win of the season for Davis – with Jankowski notching a second East region schedule success in 2015.
Mark Hooper (Rayleigh Club), David Bunker (Stanmore) and James Taverner (Hendon) all finished at three-over to tie for fourth.
The winning team – on count-back – in the pro-am was led by Michael Moore (Pinner Hill).
