Glen Portelli had a day to remember at Letchworth, claiming a convincing double victory in the final Hertfordshire PGA pro-am of the year.
The Veralum assistant collected the individual professional prize with a round of four-under-par 67, before partnering amateurs Eric Saunders and Jamie Winch to victory in the Uniroyale Quaich. They signed for 86 Stableford points, 14-under-par.
Lee Fickling, the East Region chairman from Bush Hill Park, shared second individual place with Adam Lewis of Sandy Lodge with one under par 70.
Daniel Field, Steve Jackson and Steve Sealey of East Herts were team runners-up with 80 points on count back from Fickling, Duncan Collins and Rob Stoddart.
Peter Cherry, head professional at Ashridge, ended on top of the Hertfordshire PGA Order of Merit after 13 events in 2013. Cherry, who won the East Region Order of Merit in 2003 and played in the Volvo PGA Championship at Wentworth the following year, had 2710 points.
