A chance to win a place in Great Britain & Ireland’s PGA Cup team is up for grabs at this week’s Titleist & FootJoy PGA Professional Championship at Burnham & Berrow.
Six spots for the California clash against the United States in September (18-20) will be decided with one additional captain’s pick for Jon Bevan.
Niall Kearney (Royal Dublin), Jason Levermore (Channels) and David Dixon (Enmore Park) have already qualified for the team via last December’s PGA Play-Offs in Turkey.
The final six places are determined on a points’ allocation over two years of the PGA Professional Championship with double points at stake this year.
Chris McDonnell will be defending his PGA Professional Championship title in Somerset.
GB&I will be aiming to win the PGA Cup and the Llandudno Trophy on US soil for the first time since the event’s inception in 1973.
