Dillon wins at Waterford Castle

Joe Dillon carded a five under par 67 to win the Waterford Castle Pro-Am title.

The Headfort professional held off Damian Mooney (Damian Mooney Golf) and Michael McGeady (Evolve Golf Coaching) to claim his second win, in four events.

“It was my first visit to the Waterford Castle and I was very impressed,” said Joe.

“I felt sharp after performing pretty well in a recent Europro tour outing.

“I feel there are a number of low scores to come if things keep going.”

With a shot-gun start in operation Joe began his round at the par five 13^th and collected seven birdies in total, his two dropped shots coming at the 12^th and 14^th.

Mark Whelan (Castlewarden) and amateur partners Ray Hurley, Mary Mulcahy and Paul Power won the team prize with 96pts.
