Tiger Woods’ current coach Chris Como is a big admirer and now GB&I PGA pros are set to get the chance to learn from golf biomechanics expert Dr Young-Hoo Kwon (above left) in a two-day seminar at Formby Hall Golf Club.
The CPD event is being hosted on Friday, July 10 and Saturday, July 11 by renowned putting coach Phil Kenyon and offers a rare opportunity to explore the teachings of Dr Kwon who is professor of biomechanics at Texas Women’s University in Dallas.
Como has heaped praise on Dr Kwon and credits him with improving his knowledge of the golf swing, saying:
Kenyon added: “Dr Kwon is at the forefront of golf biomechanics and is sought out many of the world leading coaches for advice and understanding on the the subject area.
“Dr Kwon regularly advise the coaches such Sean Foley, Chris Como, Brian Manzella, Grant Waite as well as many others and has built up an extensive data from many world class golfers as to what actually happens in the golf swing.
“The seminar is a must attend for any coach that has an interest in golf biomechanics, not only to gain a better understanding of the terms and terminonology, but more knowledge of the key concepts and principles which may well allow them to view the golf swing in a different way.”
