Paul Broadhurst bagged a brace of eagles on his way to taking the honours at the Glazerite Pro-Am at Wellingborough GC.
The former European Tour regular was two-under-par at the turn but made his move on the back nine with eagles on the par five 14th and par four 16th to finish with a six-under-par 66.
Broadhurst needed that final flourish to edge a stroke clear of Ian Walley (Kedleston Park GC) and Matthew Cort (Rothley Park GC) with Neil Evans (Market Harborough GC) a further shot adrift.
Wellingborough’s resident professional Simon Lilly finished strongly with six birdies on the back nine for his three-under par 69, level with Phil Edwards (Phil Edwards Golf).
Four other players broke par – James Whatley (Morley Hayes GC), Andrew Cheese (Sutton Coldfield GC), Steve Carter (Walmley GC) and Dan Greenwood (Forest Pines GC).
