Elliott and Ruebotham share Hertfordshire honours

Crue Elliott (Sandy Lodge) and James Ruebotham (Welwyn Garden City) shared the honours in the Hertfordshire PGA Stan Tomlin Trophy.

Both men returned a score of one-under-par 70 to share the honours after a tense battle over Elliott’s home course, Sandy Lodge.

Runners-up were Hertfordshire PGA chairman Andy Clapp (Brickendon Grange) and Tommy Obergan (Berkhamsted) both of whom signed for level-par 71.

Verulam won the Stan Tomlin Trophy with head professional Joel Saunders, club captain John Wells and Joel’s uncle Eric Saunders. They had 84 Stableford points.
